Mobo is me. It is my name (Moshe Boharon), it is the way I see the world. Mobo is the way I live my life, Mobo is my style, Mobo is my message, it is my attitude towards everything, Mobo is my love, Mobo is my dream, Mobo is my craziness.
My journey into the business world started when I was only 21 years old. Whilst laying on a sun bed in Copacabana. Over the time, I fell in love more and more with the swimwear industry and all that comes with it including the design process and the endless creativity that comes to life with each item, as small as it may be. During nine years I imported, sold and developed different brands of swimwear, I learned the business from beginning to end from every angle possible, until I felt ready to start my own brand. My own brand, where I can invest everything I had into, and that will pass my message on to the world.
When I decided to start Mobo, I did everything backwards, I started from the end, from the product. I imagined in my mind the perfect product. The plan was simple, to create a product that I love, because I knew that if I loved it, you would love it too. I did not spare on any of the details, because they are what create together something great. I didn't listen to my accountant when he told me I was crazy. Instead of doing market research and studying consumer behaviour, I went to look for the best materials available. Life is simple, and so is business. I believe in four simple rules for running a business: Create a high quality product, that is value for money, gives a unique user experience and excellent customer service. Forget all of the equations and trade secrets. A good business is a simple one at its base, anchored by quality and righteousness.
Mobo's mission is simple: I want to have fun, do good things in the world and raise a smile upon peoples faces. A smile is known to be contagious, and if I can get you to smile, you will pass it on to the people close to you and so forth.
My vision is to make Mobo a part of your day to day life, to accompany you during the important moments, and to make them prettier, cooler, more attractive, experiential, and more powerful.
That's why me and all the guys at Mobo try to think in the most creative way possible, smiling ironically upon the seriousness of our society. We want to transform the monotony and greyness of life into vitality and enthusiasm, to transform the boredom of your day to day life into a diverse, happy and colourful place. We are the opposite of conformists. Mobo's design concept is based on warm colours of happiness and unique prints that will bring a smile upon your face, because that's what really matters.
Mobo is not gender or status dependant, Mobo is for people who love lifestyle and appreciate quality. Mobo is for people who love life. Mobo does not depend on where you are, Mobo is inside of us and you can feel it all around the world. What really matters is how we feel. When we feel good we look good, and when we look good our confidence goes up making only the sky the limit. Quality products, meticulously designed simply make us feel great.
Mobo is a young company, and so am I (maybe not so much at 32). There may be people who see this as a disadvantage, but I am not going to apologise as i believe it is actually our biggest advantage since we are not afraid to dream big. We want to devour the world. Our ambitions are great and we are fully committed to seeing them through. We are vigilant, excited and most importantly we are focused on our goals and are doing everything possible to achieve them. We are driven by love as we believe that if you do things out of love they will always turn out just right. We give love to our employees, our products and our customers. LoveMobo is not a slogan, it's a way of life.
